Join Us for November First Friday

Posted by Linda Atiyeh - October 18, 2016

We are very pleased to announce that Gallery 30 will host landscape painter Jonathan Frazier during the First Friday reception on November 4th 2016.

One of the region’s best-known landscape painters, Jonathan Frazier captures the Gettysburg landscape and townscape in the open air using a palette of rich vibrant colors. Some of his favorite places to paint include Little Round Top, or atop one of the observation towers to capture a bird’s eye view. Jonathan’s work is like no other painter’s in the region; it kindles an exquisite sense of the colors that abound in the Gettysburg landscape as the light changes over the course of the day.  Jonathan Frazier has been represented by Gallery 30 since 2002.

Jonathan is truly a crowd favorite at Gallery 30. People are drawn to his work because of the way he uses color and light. When customers talk to us about his work, it comes as no surprise to hear that Jonathan is also a musician. His use of color has a rhythm as it moves across the canvas and it also has a unique energy to it. I can’t tell you how many of our customers began collecting art because of Jonathan’s beautiful work.

Jonathan received his BFA in Studio Art from Kutztown University. Over the years, his work has been selected for numerous juried exhibitions, and he currently has works on display as a member of the Seven Lively Artists at the State Museum of Pennsylvania. He also recently completed completed one of his largest projects, a commissioned mural for the Radisson Hotel and Convention Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Come meet Jonathan Frazier, explore local art, and enjoy a wine and cheese reception at Gallery 30 from 5:30-8:00 PM on November 4th, 2016.  Gallery 30 is located at 26 York Street in Gettysburg.  For more information visit www.gallery30.com or call 717-334-0335.
