September First Friday: Meet Local Artist Jonathan Frazier
Gallery 30 will host award-winning landscape painter Jonathan Frazier during the September First Friday reception.
On display will be more than fifteen original paintings, all of which are available for purchase. Jonathan will also be on hand to demonstrate and discuss his artistic process.
Exclusively represented by Gallery 30 for more than a decade, Jonathan paints the landscapes and townscapes of the Susquehanna Valley with a vibrant and rich palette of colors. Working quickly with small canvasses, Jonathan expertly captures the light and colors of Gettysburg, as the daylight passes and the sun sets. Gettysburg visitors can frequently find him plein air painting in rural Adams County and among the monuments and historic points in the battlefield.
In addition to landscapes, Jonathan captures the historic architecture of the region, including Gettysburg College, creating elegant compositions that frequently juxtapose old and new. His townscape paintings are known for their engaging use of color, light, architectural lines and the repeated elements that appear in buildings.
Come meet Jonathan Frazier, explore local art, and enjoy a wine and cheese reception at Gallery 30 from 5:30-8:30 PM on Friday, September 7, 2018. For more information call 717-334-0335.
