Phelps' interest in 360-degree panoramic photography goes back 30 years, to his time as a student in the School of Architecture at the University of Minnesota. In 1996, James took his first true panoramic photograph near Devil's Den on the Gettysburg National Military Park Battlefield. Since that time, James has honed his craft, focusing on breathtaking panoramas.
