September First Friday: Local Master Carver Paul Irving

Gallery 30, celebrating 40 years as an artistic and literary landmark in historic downtown Gettysburg, will feature the work of local carver Paul Irving for First Friday on September 6 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm. Gallery 30 will unveil 11 exceptional carvings, including Great White Herons, Great Blue Herons, trout, swans, and grebes.

Paul Irving began carving wildfowl decoys over 30 years ago. Today the master carver creates phenomenal wood carvings of native birds and trout. Paul handcrafts every detail from the first cut of wood to the last brush stroke. Some of Paul’s carvings are unpainted to display the gorgeous grain and wormy character of the chestnut wood. Gallery 30 has been representing Paul Irving for nearly a decade.

Come view the work of Paul Irving, explore local art, and enjoy a wine and cheese reception at Gallery 30 from 5:30-8:00 PM on Friday, September 6, 2019.  For more information visit www.gallery30.com or call 717-334-0335.
